Bob: I'd be interested in your summmary or impression of GATA responses, if you care to post one. Maybe a priest reading the thread will give you absolution for having been drawned into the services of Evil in this battle with the Good for control of the gold markets. (sic) You would know that the devil is in the details. Leasing and selling gold is a miniscule complaint against governments that plunder and kill and oppress on various scales, worldwide. The GATA crowd should be happy they can buy this cheap gold when they know it's money and governments do not care enough for it, or fear its greater valuation. GATA's real problem is with fellow citizens who don't share their view of gold's value. But that crusade is no fun, and futile. Events and sentiment will prevail. When they do GATA will have a worthy cause: preventing government from being a forced buyer, having been persuaded that gold really is money.
