canmar, Alcan has been on a steady rise since October 2000 with numerous good news releases along the way. Except for the larger than usual pullback in March this year, it continues to rise. My guess is that traders are jumping on because the equity curve has fallen behind it's trendline, perhaps representing better value at this point and starting to do a catchup.

If it is in catchup mode, it will make for good day-trading opportunity. Good heads-up.
