Well, I don't really believe that he was on autopilot.. Either he or his co-pilot would have been "hands on" the minute those Chinese aircraft appeared. If he was, then I would have to question his rationale for being in such a posture. We'll just have to wait and see what the eventual report reveals about the event. Either way... this whole thing has now transitioned from a mere care of "detaining" the crew, to holding them hostage until the US apologizes.. Sometimes we have to call a spade a spade... and I think we're reaching this point.
