Win fcenter.ru stated that there are at least 3 independent sources that confirmed the price cuts. Something like that should have been expected because of the low demand for p4 and even dell is not hot on marketing p4s to larger clients. The price drop for 1.7GHz is no big deal either since no one (other than intel) would be holding inventory of those. Regards -Albert ps I have to admit that the cuts are somewhat more drastic than I would have expected....
