Richard, Iam confused. Why would I want to close out my position?
( after everything I have been saying on this thread past 30 days ).

Let's start again:
I am a physician very familiar with the genitourinary system and drugs
so " I am In my field " , good thing to have when you invest.
I am familiar with past Biomed companies' performance when they develop
a drug that works.I am cognizant also that VERY FEW DRUGS THAT WORK come
on the market with any regularity.
Vivus meets the above criteria.
My investment method is a mix-breed: alittle bit of eveything; in order
of importance 1)fundamental analysis 2)bits of basic technical
analysis 3)bits of chart readinf ( I have to ask my broker for help
on this 4) gut feeling.

I got in in Vivus @ 43. I didn't buy any more at 42.5 ( was tempting )
because I wanted to keep some powder dry.

I will make an assumption that the stock is not being manipulated;in this
case what is going on?My observations/conclusions:
a) the lowest volume in 5 months this am 0930-->1000: ~10000 shares!1
b) everybody that wants out of Vivus is out.
b) only the true believers are in those that are likely to hold the stock
for longer ( that remains to be defined;some institutions today are
triggfer happy )>
c)my broker tells me ( and I believe it ) that it is better if Vivus moves up
to 50 and >50 SLOWLY so that only people with conviction in the stock are
in rather than momentum buyers who will sell at the drop of a hat.
This may be perhaps what is happening this morning.
d) what I don't understand is why aren't the shorts covering their
position after such a run up of Viuvs and show of strength ( 30-->49 )?
My only explanation is to pull out the old maxim ie that investors
tend to sell their winners and hold on to their losers :" things
will get better ' mentality.
