so for a $150 PALM m105 you can get lots books in color

You know, for someone so hyped about PALM you sure don't know their product line too well. The m105 is black and white: store.palm.com

kids books at $15 each

Such a bargain! Most childrens' books, apart from the Harry Potter stuff, tend to go for under $10.

Not to mention how it's hard to see the notion of a book that you have to change the batteries in really catching on.

And if somehow the concept does catch on with the public, how do the authors and publishers protect their interests? I don't think Stephen King would be too keen on seeing PDF versions of "The Stand" being swapped around on Napster.
