This is clueless:

The U.S. official expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of negotiations between Washington and Beijing officials on Tuesday, saying, ``I don't think it's a great sign.''

``We think we had the framework for working this out last week,'' the official said. ``We do think we've reached the point where they can decide it's time for our crew members to come home.''
