I don't have time right now to come up with some of the facts you asked for about California....but "the letter" from "The Californians" was meant to be a joke....in a slightly sarcastic way. I would think that it most likely reflects the way quite a few people feel about our energy crisis... and the fact that a crisis such as this will have an effect on the entire U.S. economy. Quite a few people are annoyed by the President's "it's not my problem" attitude when this crisis first started developing.

What is the opinion of buying BRCD on margin

I'm not the best one to answer this question. I am never comfortable buying anything on margin....but hopefully we are starting to show some recovery in the market. We need some good announcements from some of the companies reporting, and hopefully another rate cut ASAP....and then I would be more optimistic about the market in general. For so many people it has been too easy to be short in this market, and today was obviously a "wake up" call for everyone....those short, and those who want to be long, especially in the technology sector.
