I'd like to get others' opinions on this two-day rally because of "not as much bad news". This seems silly to me and I hope I'm not the only one.

When nearly all of the evidence shows us that the economy is in a downturn, are two days with limited bad news really sufficient to push the market up as it has? Shouldn't one wait until there is positive news about the future before jumping back in?

I'm curious to know what everyone else thinks and I'd appreciate any replies. It just seems to me that we're seeing the same foolish optimism that we saw during the bull market bubble, but perhaps I am wrong.
