Well, nothing at all! They are great fun! And so are those
golden retrievers! And, of course, brunettes as well!
Mike, I used the term 'blondies' in a generic sense to refer to the Scandinavian types (most of whom have blonde hair). BTW, Hitler thought that blonde hair was a characteristic of the Aryan master race! In fact, in connection with eugenics experiments, the Hitler Reich regularly sought out blonde children with
blue or blue-grey eyes!, slender (not squat) build and long limbs. Pudgy types didn't have a chance! Towards the end of WWII, Himmler (one of Hitler's top honchos) stole, out of desperation, Aryan-type children from Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia (now split into two separate countries), the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, to continue with breeding the so-called master race.
I must admit that, due to the late hour at which I replied to Aurum's post, I sort of misread his last paragraph. He was referring to left wing types in Australia clamoring for adoption of the "Swedish Model" of government. He made passing mention of the eugenics experiment. Somehow I got the (erroneous!) impression that he was referring to 'blondie' emigrants from Scandinavia (mostly from Sweden, & Norway) wanting to be given and to enjoy the very generous state welfarism they went accustomed to back home. You know, your mind sometimes plays strange tricks with you when you are not fully awake (especially when you're not aware of it!!!)
I guess I'd better stop here lest I get reminders that this is the Bre-X thread meant only for mining matters etc!
