APRIL 10 INDEX UPDATE
--------------------------------
Short-term technical readings:
DOW - borderline CLASS 2 SELL signal
SPX - borderline CLASS 2 SELL signal
OEX - borderline CLASS 2 SELL signal
NAZ - overbought region
NDX - overbought region
VIX - oversold region(inverse to market)
VXN - oversold region(inverse to market)

Per my short-term technicals the overall market is in the overbought region, and if the market continues up I would get CLASS 1 SELL signals in 1-2 days with the window a day later, so a short-term top could arrive THUR/FRI.

There were two significant positives which developed today:
1) DOW produced a complete short-term cycle of a HIGHER LOW and HIGHER HIGH

2) NAZ/NDX broke above the JAN declining trendline

The DOW may be forming a rising FLAG/WEDGE but there are only 2 touches on the upper and lower trendlines, so it needs more confirmation. I prefer at least 3 touches, but wanted to mention that such may be forming since it is bearish down the road.

Per our website mutual fund account we closed 2 positions in the UOPIX(long NDX) - we still have 5 long positions open. In our option account we are still holding the QQQ JAN 03 CALL which we bought at 14.10, and at todays close was valued at 19.40.
