After all, bulletin boards are such a wonderful way to anonymously promote ones cause using some facts with fiction mixed in.

Exactly what cause would that be in your mind? Come on, I know you can come up with something paranoid. Here are a few suggestions:

1. insane jealousy of Brinker's success in duck, cover and hide tactics.
2. competition in the financial advice and newsletter business geared toward wealthy gerbils.
3. sheer boredom due to the lack of volatility in the markets.
4. anarchists trying to bring down the free market capitalist system.

Oh heck, feel free to pick your own favorite "cause" and try and pin it on those you don't agree with (here's some sticky tape). Just remember, the simplest explanation is usually the correct one and it's not in hiding but sitting out in plain sight if you just bother to look.
