"My son just got through calling me to see if INTEL's stock had crashed (or something). Intel has / or did have a huge
new addition to one of their plants in Phoenix, Arizona.

This afternoon, just before quitting time. And without advanced warning, INTEL laid off over half of their construction
personal (which are union). The only thing that the head chopper said was that there whould be more layoffs tomorrow
and the next day.

The electricans (my son is one) numbered nearly a thousand persons. And it takes time (and expense to gather these
kinds of numbers of personnel from all over the nation. To lay them off, with out some explanation (remember this is a
union job)(and there are job contracts signed with all the unions).
