We will look back at this year as the great management shakeout; LU flamed out first, NT is on the way, maybe CSCO too, maybe JNPR and CIEN become the new leaders while the solid players like ALA, GLW and MONI knew all along how to diversify and use good sense to keep their business going in a slowdown.

Place your bets, gentlemen! Some or all of these companies will be very busy the next five years building the next generation network.
