<<Zain,..."clown boy" is in reference to the CFZ thread, where clowns are perma-bulls. You should not read so deep into comments like this. The market is a little WAR by itself..you need to be tougher skinned that this. I'm glad your father has taught you well, congrats. I hope you are a star athlete also....maybe like Tiger Woods>>
I assure you’re comments are accepted in good-faith and I thank you for them. Since I need to build a level of trust and confidence with you, I thought it would be best if you could clear up the following as I am a little perplexed. I hope you take it in good spirits and it is helpful for me that I am going through your posts closely and I see some very valid points within your arguments.
However, notwithstanding the strong points you make, I have some issues with your posts and I take this opportunity to highlight them.
<<As far as my positions, I've been long for a few days now (~88% of capital)...biggest winners right now are JNPR and TIBX. Maybe you missed it, but I covered ALL of my shorts very nicely a few days ago.>>
Where are your JNPR and TIBX long?
Where have you mentioned on any of your posts that you are long JNPR or TIBX? What kind of honesty is this? Longs, again in private as I suspected!
I am amused by your statement on your supposedly 88% capital in long. I'm happy for you if this is the case, but I find no evidence to back your longs. 88% of capital on the long side, for a man of your stature and reputation on bear threads is a significant move. It is a huge change of strategy for your known reputation as a super bear.
I can find many posts of my fathers where he specifically states that he is long in the market. In your profile, I couldn’t find any reference to a huge long position that signals 88% capital on the long side. You have been arguing with my father that the economy is dead and now you have the audacity to say that 88% of your capital is long.
The point is where do you state that you have been long? In the last few days, when this market started heading up, you were talking about INTC earnings pre-announcement disaster and Broad.con going to teens! Not about the hypothetical JNPR long?
In this following post you are thinking about a long only!! In all your posts you have only been thinking and has never shown the ability to actually pull the trigger.

CHUCK IT ALL MAN...SELL IT ALL...!!! ..i started to cover a few shorts today near the close <GGGGG> and ready to nibble long for a bounce, soon...MAYBE??!!>>
Indecision about what to do and no firm conclusion. Still thinking about a long here. On one hand you are propagating the ills of the economy, virtues of Gold, Broad.con impending disasters that will take it to the teens, INTC shortfalls possible, LU bankruptcy rumours and all of a sudden on 10th of April, SI learns that this was all a façade and in actuality you were long. This is the hidden agenda you have and you had pursued far too long.
On 4th April, almost bought LU not JNPR! Why is it so that networking stocks like the highly speculative JNPR are not bought in open? When you badmouth about every stock on the 3rd, 4th and 5th and even told Crystal Ball STFU when he made a suggestion, how is it so that JNPR and TIBX is bought in secret without any reference whatsoever?
Is it not the two-face policy that my father wrote to you about! Now with your 88% long capital post, you have proven my father’s point that you are long in you are long in private and short in SI. These imaginations and delusions on SI has worked for you so far, not on Idea of the Day where consistency is the name of the game.

bogus goodwill....broad.con valuations.
On 4th April you almost bought LU but indecision rules so far. You love your money too much to pull the trigger.

Here you are talking about NAZ faltering and not yet bottoming but XAU since bottomed will move higher.<<no I don't think the naz has bottomed yet, but the XAU did late last year. Patience will be rewarded>>
So far long gold but not JNPR. Anything good is in secret, denunciations in open. When my father pointed out these structural problems with your 'calls' you became very upset. However, the fact is that you are not a straight person in your trading life, you do one thing and write altogether a different thing? I was totally shocked to have seen this in your letter to me, I did not believe my eye's I thought you will spare with me with all your 'long stories' when I wrote you about your secret desire.

Fred's Gold call: Gold and the NAZ rally together this leg....It makes no sense but that's why it will happen. Then..the NAZduck falters and gold keeps going like the Engergizer Bunny. ...no I don't think the naz has bottomed yet, but the XAU did late last year. Patience will be rewarded.
that's my story and i"m sticking to it for 2001-2003<<GGG>>

mike....we agree again <GG> CNBS will be talking about bottoms again, get all the clowns big-in-the-pants and happy...
..then Crusty shows up and farts on their face again next week :-) >>
Now with all these short posts, hewre is the first reference to osme longs that you are planning to sell that you yesterday..

I'm thinking about doing a recycle on MUSE, BRCM, and RIMM at the close and selling the few longs I picked up yesterday. I got lucky on those... >>
After 5th April, you told my father that this is a traders rally but no reference to 88% of your capital long so what are you up to? You far outlived your 'terror posts' that are only meant to traumatised people and unfortunately, the deeper I look in to your posts the more confused I get and irony that you want to be seen by my father as an honest person. Search yourself for that acceptance that you are here for fun, and most probably you never trade. It is with regret that I inform you about all this, but you are claiming credit for trades that probably never existed.
Uncle Fred, I honestly believe that a change of direction from a top bear such as yourself and positioning of funds into JNPR and TIBX is a big call and smaller investors such as myself have every right to be aware of the change of direction even if its only for the short-term. That is what fairness is all about. |
