Ah, I see jlallen and the blowhards have arrived in force. Cheney and his sidekick shrub only stole their way into Pennsylvania Ave. on the back of six very slimy events, which will not be forgotten by the time we boot them within four years or sooner (better get used to it, we're not gonna let you forget) : - The Jeb and Kathy show blocking voters of a certain racial persuasion - The little weekend rendezvous of repubs called in to fill out ballot registrations they screwed up - Supreme meddling by a court that has lost its legitimacy - Butterfly ballots (Gore = + 6,000) and overcounts - Electoral college favoritism given to the small bumpkin states and denying a majority victory - And most importantly, 2 million idiot Nader voters, at least half of which exit polling put in Gore's camp -- and very few in cheneyshrub's - Giving the Democratic majority a clear, wide lead. Taken together or separately, the intent is clear. Instead we get an illegitimate president-select, who comes in throwing his extremism around like he actually won something. Phony liar who ran on a bogus moderate lie of an image. We know what happens to the extremists - crash and burn like Gingrich. Simply a matter of time. The white house team is an accident that needs correcting. Doesn't really matter what you or I say though, there are bigger forces that will take care of this for us - in addition to the public's growing disgust with cheney/shrub's lies and turnabouts - as just one small example you may want to peruse : piraz.com jl, the only fool being suffered here is you. Maybe reviewing McGowan's writings abit will help you learn how to construct a semi-rational post. He at least makes some reasonable points even when you don't agree with him.
