From MacOS Rumors
Apple on-schedule for late September profit

Finally, some light at the end of the tunnel. Another internal Apple memo, this time from
Accouting to an anonymous executive, indicates that Apple's finances are turning around. In
essence, the spinoff of Newton Inc. has lifted some of the financial load off of Apple's
shoulders, and existing Mac users are beginning a turn-over buying cycle predicted earlier
in the year by many industry analysts. Sales of MacOS 7.6 have been decent if not up to par,
and now that Apple is beginning to catch up with the furious demand for their new
PowerBooks and high end PowerMacs, the picture is brightening.

Although they're still in the red, the information we uncovered in this memo seems to
indicate that the corporation is on the right path.
