Quote.Com going out of business? I've been hearing rumors all over the place that Quote.Com may be folding. The "word on the street" is that Quote.Com wrote a memo to Lycos corporate office insisting that they either allow them to spend the money that they need in order to increase server capacity, or, shut down the service completely. A buddy of mine who actually works for Quote.Com insinuated (although wouldn't directly confirm or deny) that Lycos has made the decision to shut down Quote.Com completely. Again, I haven't been able to confirm or discredit this rumor...but it seems to be running rampant. Can any of the guys from Quote.Com who monitor this thread (if there are any of them left) please respond. And by the way...Quote.Com did suck today... Do you think they have a reasonable excuse.....oops.....I mean explanation as to why they continue to underperform when the market shows even the slightest amount of increased volume.
