How we as a country invest our savings is extremely important to the future. It affects are competitive standing in the world and thus our standard of living. When we foolishly invest our money it gives the world a competitive advantage and ultimately decreases our standard of living. Investment bankers should not have been taking the majority of the companies public that they were and there should never have been the demand there was for such companies so that the bankers couldn't bring those companies public.
