You could be wrong about the trend and still make money shorting through volatility. We don't really get any kicks from hearing about people losing money. We wish you all the luck in the world - and if you knew anything truly important, we would be foolish not to listen

Give me a break. He's made money because he was RIGHT about the trend. The person who made money going long Intel and playing the volatility during Feb/March/April would have had to been an absolute genius. Even with the strong downward trend, without great timing, shorts leave a lot of money on the table. With an upward trend, it would have been impossible. Kap is making money. So, you must be happy to hear about it. Right?? I wish I had listened to him more. My only small consolation during this Intel meltdown has been some aggressive (for me) call writing on the way down and 1 profitable short position (yes...based on his experience and also covered too soon). I am in no way married to this stock as so many on this thread seem to be. I kick myself for the Intel paper profits I lost during this meltdown and indeed now feel foolish. But, after reading your posts, I've come to realize there is always a greater fool.
