It's consistent with SSB's call this morning. The drop has been far more sudden, far sharper than any prior cycle end; thus it can't get worse, meaning that the next step is for it to get better. Given that nobody cares about fundamentals but only second derivatives, the growth rate being sharply negative would show an improvement if growth just disappears altogether.
