Ken: I think CNBC might be a good indicator. When the CNBC talking heads stop calling bottoms and asking their "guests" to call bottoms, and start getting laid off themselves for lack of viewers, it might be a good indication that a real bottom of some sort has arrived.

When the "Super-VEE" finally arrives, you'll turn on CNBC and see an empty chair behind a desk. On the desk will be a computer screen with an upward-sloping chart. It'll silently stay like that for four minutes, then they'll run a six-year old commercial where a guy says "Youse know why I'm wearing a $2500 Armani suit? Youse know why my hairpiece is woven from the tails of thoroughbred champions? Well I'm gonna tell youse why. It's because my day-trading techniques have made a friggin' FORTUNE for me and thousands of others. Now it can make a friggin' FORTUNE for youse too."
