I think SI Jeff was watching trader_joe very carefully at that time. I remember sending Jeff a PM to watch trader_joe as he had threatened to post personal information about posters publicly. I think maybe Jeff was just being proactive about protecting SI members from an invasion of their privacy or slanderous posts. That may be the reason he deleted trader_joe's posts so quickly and suspended him.
