Chaz, Just as I suspected. Look at what I pulled off the NCN news service on the internet : International News The new name taken by the former Zaire has confused international investors into thinking that the fighting in Congo-Brazzaville (Republic of Congo) was actually occurring in the former Zaire, now the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reports coming over the wire services talked about heavy fighting in Congo and many investors panicked and sold their equity holdings in companies operating in the former Zaire. NCN spoke with a representative of International Panorama Resources (VSE ILP., OTC Bulletin Board IPNRF. ) of Vancouver, British Columbia, and learned ILP's stock value plummeted some twenty cents or nearly 10 percent on panic selling. ILP has announced a copper/cobalt project at Kakanda/Kambove in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the former Zaire, a scene of relative tranquility and peace in southern Shaba province, some 100-150 kms north of the border with Zambia and many hundreds of kilometers to the southeast of the country Congo-Brazzaville where the fighting is occuring. The ILP spokesman indicated he felt that the company had managed to stem the tide of investor panic and get out the word that the fighting was not in Congo but rather in Congo-Brazzaville.
