HyperFeed Technologies Selected to Supply Real-Time Quotes to Nasdaq Online
CHICAGO, April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- HyperFeed Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: HYPR), the premier North American source for financial market data and data-delivery solutions, today announced that it has reached an agreement with The Nasdaq Stock Market to supply financial market data to its password- protected Web site for Nasdaq-listed companies, www.nasdaqonline.com . HyperFeed's proprietary datafeed, which carries quotes on over 600,000 stock, option and commodity issues throughout North America, will provide real-time stock quotes to this Web site.

HyperFeed's proprietary compression algorithm allows it to disseminate massive volumes of data more efficiently than other market data vendors. HyperFeed is one of North America's only pipelines for financial market data able to supply a complete datafeed, including options chains, in true real- time without dropping quotes. Other vendors of financial market information, impaired by their processing and distribution systems, are forced to drop quotes when trading volumes rise.
Nasdaq expects to make HyperFeed data available through www.nasdaqonline.com in June 2001.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, HyperFeed's press release policy mandates that the company only announce client relationships that generate a minimum of $20,000 in monthly revenue or approximately $.01 EPS, with the exception of certain special situations, such as breakthroughs in new technology.
