Jeff,
There are multiple issues affecting performance, and we have several projects nearing completion to address them. A back-end project to streamline server efficiency will be completed in 3-4 weeks. We have a third server farm (10 new servers) coming on line in Sterling, VA in 4-8 weeks. The bandwidth available to the Sunnyvale farm has already been bolstered with a new OC3 line, though further fine tuning of the routers to better make use of the extra bandwidth is still being done. These projects will help alleviate the strain on our servers and will improve the performance for clients.
We are also exploring new ways to lessen the number of requests the server receives by caching data both at the router and end users location. Tiered service levels has been under consideration for some time as well.
As for the software, well, we're not going to stop trying to improve Qcharts, Livecharts, or any of our products. I can appreciate that when there are technical problems, no one wants to hear about the new bells and whistles available to them, but the software is continuously being improved, and sometimes the releases will coincide with data/performance issues.
