elmatador- ?XX!! It should say chalk up a victory to the ineptitude of the FCC. It's their bumbling ideas to, "create competition by regulation," that killed the FCC created CLECs. The ILEC's had an easy time killing CLECs because no amount of regulation can cover (literally) how to use the bathroom in an ILEC CO! What a disaster.

And just think, the 50 year old cable plant was sitting right there perfectly poised to do battle with the CLECs and the ?XX!! FCC (led by Clinton appointed Kennard) gave them hell every step of the way until Mike Armstrong (ATT CEO) through in the towel.

My question is, when will the battle begin once again? Within weeks of Powell being appointed, the cable ownership caps rule was lifted. A very positive sign! Will that be enough to make Armstrong rethink the idiotic plan of breaking up ATT long distance from the cable plant? I hope so. -MikeM(From Florida)
