so we agree there was "loose" monetary policy as the bubble was inflating to its peak. when the monkeys with buy buttons started sticking all this dough in the markets greenspan had to change his plan. he was initially going to take the money out of the system post y2k. he didn't.

he *knew* what was driving the markets. loose money supply growth.
