Doug,

Remember when Clinton's crime bill passed, with zero Republican support? The Reps were crying that spending money hiring 100,000 policemen was a waste of money.

Since then, violent crime has made a big drop.

There are cause and effect relationships in the world, which are difficult for people tuned into some 400 lb. slob two hours a day, to understand.
