Have you bought one yet? FWIW, I was able to buy one last November through CompUSA. What you do is call their 800 number and ask to contact their factory warehouse distribution. I talked to an internal sales guy who then took my credit card number and put me on the wait list. Believe it or not I got one four days later, so I must have timed it right. I then found the expansion pack and a Sierra Wireless PC card (speed isn't the greatest, but it's tolerable) from Mobile Planet and got that delivered a week later. If you keep inquiring as high up the supply chain as you can get, you can find them.
By the way, this has been a really cool product - I do email, AOL chat, movie downloads, and stock trading with this thing, and I've posted to this thread using it, too. Night Writer should note I've been able to set up stock alerts that email me while I've been playing out on the links. Very cool, except the down side is that most of the email alerts that I've been getting have been stop-loss signals, which certainly never helps my already lousy game. |
