We had been on a 128K feed, and often times the amount of data that needed to be sent down the pipe to us exceeded the amount of space necessary to transmit the data. When this occurs, the data that overflows the feed is lost. Comstock has in place rules that address overflow and decide which information is impacted first. The CBOE and Canadian data were first to be impacted, as was clearly evidenced by the lack of quality options data a few months back. The overflow eventually impacted Level II data, and the number of stale or stuck LII quotes grew exponentially. The 384k feed gives us three times the bandwidth of the older feed. As a result, our options data has vastly improved, and there are far, far fewer stuck LII quotes.
