Research in Motion blew past fourth-quarter estimates on the growing
success of its BlackBerry mobile email device. Fully diluted earnings of
$0.10 a share came in well ahead the $0.07 projection and last year's
$0.04. As consumers, our thirst for gadgets that simplify and enhance
efficiency continues to grow despite market leader Palm's recent
problems.

It was poetry in motion for Research in Motion (Nasdaq:
RIMM) as the handheld electronics company closed out
its fiscal year. RIM took a shot and hit nothing but net,
reporting a fourth-quarter profit of a dime per share. That
topped analyst estimates of $0.07 a share for the period.
Quarterly sales shot up 46% to $90.1 million, also well
ahead of Wall Street expectations.

iPAQ might produce the same results for CPQ!!
