One more story. Saw Grangers mentioned a hundred or so post back. When my first daughter was 6 and her brother 5 we would take them along to Grange Credit Union annual meetings, where I would be a speaker. Even at that age they quickly learned that these people were great cooks and bakers. The meetings were all pot luck and if you think they insisted on sitting with us, WRONG! They inspected the cakes at each table, and each one sat where they thought the best desert was. This is not the story this is background. so once on a Sunday afternoon we went down a long undalating road to the Grange hall. Two hours later on the return my daughter started to get car sick. I got her to hold it till we could pull over, and she got out and paid all the great Grange cooks the ultimate compliment, which I remind her of today. What did she say? "It still taste good!"
