RIMM Conference Call notes:

- Guidance was down, although done in a very subtle way. They told that revenue would
come at the lower end of expectations.

- 45% of the current revenue was contributed by AOL and they said a part of this is
non-recurring but refused to clarify the numbers

- Merryl analyst asked about channel stuffing. The new subscriber numbers trail units
shipped by some 40k.
Again no answer to this. Just a fudge.

- Interest income will go down by 2.5 million/quarter on account of lower rates

- BT Cellnet contract is for 175 000 units over two years

- There has been returns of Blackberries from financial institutions but again they refused
to quantify this.

- They are holding large component inventories in order to avoid shortage. Shortage when
demand is declining!!
