Odd, why would Bush Sr. leave office on December 23? The troops were sent on December 9th. Try peeing into the wind, it will come back to you.

Motovation? The mission was to get food to starving people so I'd take that as the motivation. It was Clinton, who months later, turned control of our boys over to the UN so they could be slaughtered playing policemen.
