Excellent post. One thing I've noticed is that people always say, "Do you own DD", but what does that entail? Taking a look at the stocks 52 yr high and low and basing ur investment decision upon that? Reading message boards?

You bring up excellent points and every investor should ask those questions. One thing, all investors are not created equal. Some, who realize that, have a full service broker take care of them, other do not.

Is there any way I can nominate your post for post of the decade?
