Please read the context, using the wrong dictionary definition of a word will get an incorrect grade on your next reading test. A common error for children who read into words and not concepts.

Pete, first I am not a child....your attempts at subtle put downs are getting really old. And furthermore the administration did apologize. You would have had a better argument had you said that Bush and company at least did not apologize for the crash or being over international waters but instead you chose to go for the gold and lost....and now you won't get even the bronze.

Furthermore, what's very interesting is that you and G. Altman have professed to be experts on Chinese culture and behaviors and yet when given an opportunity to maybe learn something from two people, one whom I believe is Chinese and the other Asian American, who probably have a more fundamental experience with and intimate knowledge of the culture, you all essentially chose to ignore their comments. I think that says it all.
