I don't care where you go and what you call them: Authoritarian scumbags are authoritarian scumbags, and this bunch hiding behind all of their crappy quasi-religious economic theories while running their country and its people into the dirt for 50 years, murdering tens of millions of their own people in the name of "social progress" is no different.

The only thing that has gotten them off their backs is the evil Western Capital they so despise. Their big challenge is how can they suck in more of our money and still keep their heel on "the people's" neck. The answer is that you pump up your downtrodden masses with the nationalistic ambrosia of military power, the promise that they can put their own heel on someone else's neck, preferable someone who's success they are intensely jealous of, like Taiwan or the US.

Yes, we should absolutely be spying on this crowd, and we should intensify our intelligence gathering and be prepared. They are not building their military machine for nothing, they intend to use it if they can, to grab economic power and productive capacity through the use of brute force. Same old twentieth century totalitarian crap.

I'm tired of watching these jerks launch missles over Taiwan, listening to them threaten to blow up LA. We ought to start making the world real painful for this bunch.
