I was visiting JDSU head office in Sept. 2000, they were seeing some weak orders even then with ETEK/SDLI accquisitions consolidation, double ordering components right up to November in spite of orders. Then Nortel dropped the bomb this year.

What the media prints is often lagging, and has been filtered down before getting to the little guy.

JDSU's ascent was amazing though, especially when you see the original offices. You'd never know that this Canadian company would soar back in the early days.
