without getting too scientific about it, what may be happening in some instances is that the old url gets clicked and fills (like we have been noting here happens when the old url is placed in a new page), so then there's a cached copy available, and when you try the second part of my 'test' (copying and pasting the url directly into the address window), the cached copy is called.

that would explain some of what you are saying. (if i'm reading you right)

if i'm not making myself clear, well, i tried!
