Yes, But who won, in China? Much of the incident had nothing to do with USA, except incidentally, as a means. The place isn't monolithic but it's damn hard to see into.

Did their corrupt military, who couldn't run an invasion of Taiwan anymore than I could, win this round? Or did they step in something? The folk there might be China firsters but they're not all singing from the same book.

I agree that lots of intelligence about China is needed. The place is too mysterious. Who's in charge of what?

Have to determine their intentions by collecting military intelligence. What they do indicates intention. Nothing else is reliable.

Their claim on Taiwan is ludicrous, historically and logically. The colonization of Tibet is irrational (what benefit?) and disgusting in result. To the degree they appear irrational, we can't trust them. Have to keep snooping.
