The expected return from using all such "interpretations" is less than the coin tossing decision mechanism.

You want your slot machine with many colors and flashing lights, but you aren't being objective about how well it pays you off.

I believe people should have the right to fool themselves in any way they want, but not at the cost of preventing others from fooling themselves.

You'll get better odds at Lost Beggas than you will from the bells and whistles on the tables of the Wall Street casino.

I have math, academia, and unequalled experience on my side.

You have your results and most of SI on your side.

During the '70s I challenged one of the big proponents of stochastics. We set up a fair test. He used stochastics according to his interpretation, I used stochastics as a comparison and I challenged with a coin. After six months his accuracy was 36%. Mine using my interpretation of stochastics with my standard deviation decision bounds was 42%, and the coin was its usual 50%. He claimed the test didn't run long enough and the market wasn't a fair market.

There's a place for him over on the MDD thread.

RSI? The stochastics guys think you're daft preferring that over stochastics.

The piece de resistance though is Fibonacci. The reason it's always true is that everyone believes it is true so it's a self fulfilling prophecy. The problem is that it never works, in spite of the boundless lying by its proponents to make it work.
