I do wonder why? I have never read anything by Scumbria that I thought deserved suspension or banning from SI. However I only occasionally read this thread so I easily could have missed a lot of posts by him.

In response to his claim that his free speech is being violated I'm not sure I can agree with that because SI is privately owned and no one is making it illegal for him to say whatever he wants just not letting him use the SI web site to do it. That doesn't mean I agree with the ban, but it isn't really a free speech issue, at least not in the classic 1st amendment sense.
