Brilliant people are generally brilliant from a young age....what they gain is experience as they go along.

Dumb people.....well, I won't say they can't get smart, but they do seem fairly represented in all age groups.

As for the rest of the discussion on this thread, much of which seems to revolve around one or two touts that people dislike, I'll say this: In a free society in which there are lots of choices about where to go and what to do and say, I am a lot more inclined to find fault with the sheep rather than the shepherd. And the phrase "caveat emptor" was around thousands of years before the Internet.
