Dying coral surrounds Florida which means there is decline in fish. Manatees are endangered as well.
People like to run over them with their boats!!! No thanks! I wouldn't spend my money to dive in
Florida's polluted waters. Also, Florida has been hit with coral bleaching. They think it may be caused
by an increase in water temperature, but I'm not sure about that. And if that's not bad enough, since the
diving is so easy off the cost of Florida, stupid divers swin out to what is left of the coral and carve their
names on it.

On the other hand, Costa Rica has a booming eco-tourism business. People make their living catering
to tourists. You can't blame them if they resist Bush and his oil-industry friends attempt to destroy the endangered sea turtles and other marine life.

Bush’s former oil firm threatens sea turtles

" Roxana Silman, director in Costa Rica of the sea turtle conservation organization Caribbean
Conservation Corporation, warns that a leak or spill, like recent major incidents off Brazil and the
Galápagos, would devastate the abundant yet fragile biological resources of the region. "Local
economies are dependent on these resources and their degradation or destruction could destroy the
livelihoods of thousands of Caribbean families," she warned."
