The LIZ brought back old memories of the heady days when I had free shares and a locked-in profit. In the last year, though, I have put that-and-more back up on the points, and am counting on Oheri and Vogt not to roll the seven for quite some time.

Crap-outs seemed to have been characteristic of his predecessor, who may have been throwing the bones with his eyes tightly shut (Or while staring at the cocktail waitress-but probably not keeping an eye on our money). Thus WINR is still, to this day, in a sector where one expects to find companies that try to build empires running back-country stills, shaving piston heads for amateur funny-car racers, or packing shotgun shells for militia groups (The Russell Bubba&Stinky 1500?)

We may find, as the information comes forward, that WINR has been left further behind the curve than any of us thought within the capacity of even a Bubba&Stinky-index CEO. But companies in this low-rent part of the market usually survive only until their founder and visionary surpasses his limit. Then the shareholders are-as often as not-left wondering if their company ever existed in the first place. In WINR’s case, there seems to have been a board that was willing to step in and run off the visionary-du-jour before his vision resolved into a Koop-De-Grass for the rest of us.

The interesting part is that the new guys didn’t decide to just bury the patient. Instead they signed on for the mountain-moving task of at least bringing us back. I never could resist entrepreneurs with that much fire in their bellies. While I may be taking down the first few points that pop on the early rolls, we may yet see that streak that will get us comp R,F & B.

Have a nice Easter, everyone, and keep a good thought…
