Horray for Greenpeace - "GW The Toxic President". Has really earned this moniker since taking office. Besides wanting the country club set not to be taxed anymore his #1 agenda has been to maximize the pollution levels of our great country again. Hard to believe he's an educated Baby Boomer. Must like breathing those fumes down in Texas. The smell of money in the air. Never before have we seen such a bought and paid for tool of President. When he was approached by the Big Money Powers in Texas to run in the first place he knew what the deal would be. We'll put up the soft money, you use your charmisma to get us the presidency and then let us run things for awhile and set the environmental movement back 30 years.

Right about now Greens must really be kicking themselves for getting snookered. But Nader was a blind egomaniac fool and Gore didn't have enough teflon.

Thanks for listing the right-wingers for us using "rapist" and Clinton in the same posts. These are the guys to ignore.

I notice jlallen has his own rightwing thread which any differing views are not allowed to post on. gg They like to preach to the choir and listen to Rush Limbaugh for fun.

Going to enjoy seeing Bush go by bye in four years but until then just be vigilant and aware, anyone who cares. Unless you work in the oil, soot, timber, mining or nuke business your land is now their land and it's going to be a smelly time for all. Gas-masks recommended and don't drink the water. If the public had known he never would have gotten in, but of course he lied about his intentions. Called it sticking up for working families when it was really sticking up for rich families and polluters.

Give all your republican friends grief about this. Together maybe we can temper the enthusiasm to permanently damage our great country, its air, water, forests and wild-life, not to mention that of the world since we're supposed to be setting a positive example not lead the way backward.

By the way the California energy crisis? That was at least partly engineered by the same people who backed Bush. No coincidence the energy crisis started in December and that every other sentence out of Cheney's mouth has something to do with drilling or building more nuke and polluting plants. yet not one word about conservation, preservation, clean energy sources. In fact all relevant programs are being cut to the bone. Reagan's gang destroyed the solar industry as soon as they got into power. Boy could we use that now. And too bad the Clinton administration was not more forceful about it. We all got spoiled. And of course he hads the GOP congress and Senate to contend with.

* As you can tell I'm an environmentalist. Otherwise, pretty conservative. Environmentalism does and should cross party lines and concern everyone. Abuse it and lose it.
