I just would like to add my two cents to the discussion about how many potential n-hand disks is necessary for the average snapshooter. I believe you do not take under consideration that people are basically lazy. It means that a lot of people will NOT copy their pictures to the computer. If the media is cheap enough (and in my opinion n-hand is cheap enough and will be cheaper with time) they will simply store the shoeboxes full of disks. It is much easier to put a label on a disk then move files to the hard drive (you know, you have to create a new folder, what a drag!).

Besides I believe that the camera makers will consider adding to their product lines some kind of TV players to make people without computers buy their cameras. It makes sense, doesn't it? What kind of media will they use? What about n-hands as the only and permanent storage here (no hard drive in the cheap walkman-like device) as opposed to flash memory? Sounds good enough to me.

Just my opinion,
JerzyD
