Maybe you haven't been reading the posts about what I think happened. To keep it simple, I think it was just a situation where they had to make cuts, they reviewed both people's evaluations and decided that jeff was the one to keep, and bob was not. In doing so, they upset a few posters on silicon investor who then decided along with bob, that they were going to trash the site. Then I think he was able to land a new job, and the people on silicon investor that wanted things run their way, decided to start a thread, trying to get members to leave silicon investor and join the new site. I came along with a little bit of a contrary opinion, (teasing some members a little along the way) and the thread members started behaving like their best bb stock was being bashed. Hows that for a good summation?
