DCI does not qualify as worthless, as it does have some value and it actually trades. If you want a loss sell the shares. If you can't sell them because there's no market for your sell order, take delivery of the shares and sell them privately, making sure you document the sale, and that the buyer registers the shares through the transfer agent.

Also make sure the buyer is not a relative or other related party.
